LED headlights deserve clear lenses

Modern LED headlights don't generate enough heat to clear ice and snow. We're developing heated lens film technology to solve this problem, starting with the 2021+ Ford Bronco.

2021+ Ford Bronco Heated Lens Film

The 6th generation Ford Bronco features beautiful LED headlights, but they have a problem: LEDs don't produce enough heat to melt ice and snow off the lens. For Bronco owners in cold climates, this means dangerous visibility issues and constant manual clearing.

Our heated lens film is a purpose-built solution. It applies directly to your existing headlight lens and uses a low-power heating element to keep the surface clear in any winter condition.

The Problem

Modern LED headlights have a cold problem

The 2021+ Ford Bronco, like many modern vehicles, uses LED headlights that simply don't generate enough heat to clear ice and snow. Bronco owners in cold climates know this struggle all too well.

01

LEDs Run Cool

Unlike halogen bulbs, LED headlights produce minimal heat. While this is great for efficiency, it means no heat reaches the lens to melt ice and snow.

02

Ice Builds Up Fast

In winter driving conditions, ice and snow accumulate on headlight lenses within minutes, severely reducing visibility and safety.

03

Safety Hazard

Obscured headlights reduce your ability to see the road and make your vehicle less visible to others, especially in low-light winter conditions.

04

No Good Solutions

Current options are limited to manual scraping, spray-on chemicals, or expensive aftermarket assemblies. None of them are convenient or effective.

About Us

Solving a problem we know firsthand

High Country Optics was born out of frustration. As Bronco owners who live and drive in cold climates, we experienced the ice-covered headlight problem firsthand. Every winter storm meant pulling over to scrape our lights or dealing with dangerously reduced visibility.

We looked for solutions and found nothing that worked well. Spray-on products washed off. Aftermarket heated assemblies were expensive and complicated. So we decided to build something better: a simple, effective heated lens film that anyone can install.

We're currently in the development phase, working with suppliers and refining our design. Our goal is to bring a quality, American-made product to market that solves this problem once and for all.
